This is an easy card that uses several different techniques with Vellum Cardstock, Heat Embossing, Double-Sided Stamps and Distressed Edges
Do you need an extra special Thank You card? This one is perfect. Very simple yet subtle and elegant and kinda fun! Check out the video below where I make 12 cards and download the link for a free PDF project sheet.
Beautiful and subtle, tone on tone Thank You Card with vellum card stock accent and clear heat embossing. Lovely version of a Thank You Card, but can be used for any occasion.
You can make Birthday Cards, Thinking of You Cards, International Women’s Day Cards (March 8) and almost any occasion with this super sweet stamp set.
I have a list of the supplies below, so you can replicate these cards and create 100’s more. Plus there is a PDF download below showing all of the techniques I have used.
Now, I hope you will agree… This card is just stunning! It is clean, pretty, elegant and fun…
Remember, it is not just making the cards, but we need to send them in the mail (or hand deliver when possible.) Now more than ever, we need to remind people that we are thinking of them, we celebrate them, love them and miss their faces!!
Just like I miss your face! Please leave me a comment if you are still here with me 🙂 and don’t forget to tag me in social if you are inspired by my cards, watch my YouTube video tutorial and give it a thumbs up if you enjoy.
Stampin’ Up! Curvy Celebrations ~ Three Cards and Tutorial
This Brand New and Exclusive Bundle is Available for a Very Limited Time ~ All Occasion Suite of Stamps, Dies and Designer Series Paper
I just received my Quite Curvy Bundle, which is just a part of the full Curvey Celebrations Bundle, and I am making a few cards for you. I think you will agree, they’re Awesome!
You can make Christmas Cards, New Year’s Cards, Valentine’s Cards and almost any occasion with this amazing bundle.
My personal favorite part of this suite is that they are CURVY, lol yep, no straight lines here. The most versatile set I have played with in a long time.
I have a list of the supplies below, so you can replicate any of these cards and create 100’s more. Plus there is a PDF download below showing all of the features of the suite.
I just love this font, I am currently adoring the deep Pretty Peacock ink and cardstock and the Forever Greenery designer series paper here is just FUN!
Card #2 ~ Wishing You the Happiest of Birthdays!
Now, I hope you will agree… This card is just stunning! It is crisp, striking, classic, clean, all of the good feels…
I used the Peony Garden designer series paper in a very subdued pattern of peonies in gray and white. Then gave it a great punch with the basic black cardstock, on a white background. The only color I brought in is the very light petal pink. So pretty!
Card #3 ~ Thinking of You Makes My Day!
Another card featuring the Forever Greenery designer series paper. Gorgeous! If you love teal, turquoise and all the deep greenery colors, this is one you cannot pass by without admiring. I also added some rhinestones from last year’s Noble Peacock suite, unfortunately, they are no longer available. However, I think the Holiday Rhinestones #150457 and the Rhinestone Basic Jewels #144220 will work just as well here.
I hope you will make some cards with this versatile suite. I also hope my tutorial and photos have inspired you to make something beautiful!

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis ~ Thank You Card Tutorial
These were really fun cards to make.
The colors are so fun and the stamp set I used, Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis just makes me happy! Very Hawaiian in my eyes and makes me feel like I’m on vacation!
I’ll have a list of the supplies I used to achieve this look. There is also a FREE PDF for you to download below!
This month I am participating in Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Highlights! Woot.
How fun is that?! So, Please take a look at my card and tutorial below, then please Vote for Larri!
I simply embossed the Terra Cotta Tile cardstock with the Basket Weave embossing folder, then cut a circle out of it (using the layering circle dies), sort of off to the right side, making a “window” where you can see through to the front of the card.
Then on the front of the card, I lined up my “thanks” stamp with this new window and stamped once with the Soft Suede ink pad. Then I stamped again with the Versamark and added the Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder before heat setting this greeting.
This is a terrific embossing technique for getting the exact color you want while also added a high gloss and raised image from the clear embossing powder.
The flowers were all stamped on the Whisper White Heavy cardstock with the Soft Suede ink. I then die cut the images and used our sponge daubers to just add a little color around them. I just dabbed on some Mango Melody, Terra Cotta Tile and a little Daffodil Delight.
The leaves were all stamped on the Whisper White Heavy cardstock with Pear Pizzazz Ink and die cut.
I then just put everything together. Added a layer of the Braided Burlap Trim, glued the flowers and leaves on top, then added 3 of the gorgeous Champagne Rhinestones to each of the small flowers.
This is definitely a multi-step card, however, it was fun and not difficult at all.

Wow, where’d the summer go? Well, if you’re in California
like myself, the heat has yet to let up, but the days are getting shorter and
many are returning to school. I must admit I did take a mini vacation last week
to enjoy the sun in Lake Tahoe. Such a beautiful place and when the heat is on,
Lake Tahoe is the place to be!
So now it is time to go back to work, get organized, and if we do it right… we’ll block time in our planners for the things we love. Of course our loved ones and friends, but don’t forget to block time for your hobbies and activities you enjoy. I find if I don’t block the time, my creative projects never get finished. Not only does it bother me when I don’t finish them, but it doesn’t allow me to express my creativity.
Only when I make time to create or dive into my hobbies do I feel truly fulfilled and often enjoy a great sense of accomplishment when I complete a project. Whether it is a greeting card I can send to someone to brighten their day, reorganizing a space in my home, sewing a quilt, or reading a great book… the activity you choose, doesn’t matter as much as the way it can make you feel. Sometimes the only creative outlet I have is setting up my planner for the week ahead. I highly encourage everyone to Block Your Calendar with some time for the activities that fill your heart and replenish your soul.

If you’re not familiar with
shopping HSN.com (Home Shopping Network) well, I have some great news for you!
It seems back in the day, televised shopping channels were more of an annoyance,
silly items that only your grandmother would consider buying. Over the years I’ve

they truly evolve or am I just closer to my grandmother’s age? Hmmmm…

During their 24 Hour Craft Day Events you save a TON on shipping!!! Anything you order will be shipped for $5. That’s it. Even if you submit several different orders, as many items as you like, everything ships for one flat rate of $5 (assuming you complete your orders within the hours of the event.)

Today I am sharing a card I made using the super fun Beach Happy stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I just adore this stamp set and thought I would even share it with Kylie’s International Blog Highlights for April 2019. You can find this stamp set in the 2019 Occasions Catalog pg 37.
The theme is “Encouragement” so I used the sentiment Wishing You Sunny Days, included in the Beach Happy set.
The colors I chose were Lovely Lipstick, Powder Pink, Soft Sea Foam with a tiny bit of Crumb Cake. I used some glycerin with my sponge daubers to blend the background using the Soft Sea Foam for the sky and some Crumb Cake for the beach sand.
I also pulled in the Seaside embossing folder for the look of waves on the layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
So, what do you think?
If you like this note of encouragement as much as I do, please Vote for Me here in this awesome International Blog Highlight. If I receive enough votes I may be able to participate in Kylie’s upcoming Blog Hop!! Whoot Whoot!

Hello friends. Here is a quick rundown on Tonic Nuvo Drops, Liquid Pearls along with other Liquid Embellishments like Enamel Accents and Stickles. I cover how I swatch mine, organize them and share with you why Tonic Nuvo Drops are my Favorite! I will also share the FREE Template for Swatches I created for you to easily view your color collections and organize your liquid embellishments.
Ranger Liquid Pearls
First up are a couple of the Ranger Liquid Pearls. I only have 3, Gold, White and Silver and they work great. Accept when they CLOG! Yes, the dreaded clog happened. Unfortunately, when I used a long sewing needle to unclog it, the dried clog just keeps coming back to the top and I can no longer get any of the liquid pearls out of the bottle. So my bottle of silver is going into the trash. I only used it maybe twice over the past 8 months. Bummer.
Studio G Glitter Glue
Next up is the Studio G in Red, White and Hot Pink. Super cute colors, lots of GLITTER and they are actually a Glitter Glue so they’re multi-functional. I really like these and they were on sale at Michael’s for maybe 50 Cents each around Valentine’s Day. No clogs and they swatched really well. I have only used these once but have more plans for them in the future.
Tonic Nuvo Drops
Last up is my Tonic Nuvo Drops. These are by far my favorite. I love these because there is such a large variety of colors and finishes. You can buy Glitter (Nuvo Drops Glitter), Shimmer (Nuvo Crystal Drops), Translucent (Clear and Nuvo Crystal Glace) and Solid (Nuvo Glossy Drops).
And hey, what about these bottles?! They’re just Bling for your Craft Room Yay?!! However, I think best of all is the bottles functional ability. I have a pretty small collection of Nuvo Drops, maybe 30 bottles. Out of all of these bottles, that I have used pretty infrequently over the past 8 months, only ONE gave me the dreaded CLOG. Yes. I got a Clog here too. Unlike the Ranger Liquid Pearls…. The Tonic Nuvo Drops have a detachable tip. So when I again tried my sewing needle to unclog it and that didn’t work… I was able to take the tip off and completely clear out the clog and very easily continue using my drops!!! This to me is a WIN and makes it worth the investment of a couple dollars per bottle!!
I am now a Tonic Nuvo Drops Girl for sure!

My Dad’s Birthday is coming up and it is time to make him a nice card. This year his Birthday falls on Thanksgiving! It is not too often that this happens, so it is a special year.
I thought since I would have all of my card making tools out I would take some photos and share my final product with you. I actually made two identical cards, because it never fails that I will make a mistake somewhere along the way, and if by chance I get it all right the first time, well, now I have an additional masculine birthday card to keep on hand for another upcoming birthday.
So here we go!
I used the Botanical Bliss paper pad by Craft Smith that was in my recent Michael’s haul. Can you believe this paper pad is originally $19.99, and I picked it up last week for only $4.79!!! Super sweet deal right?!
My inspiration for this card was from Connie Stewart. She recently posted a YouTube video for a “With Sympathy Tri-Fold Card” that gave me the idea for how I would set up this card. Thank you Connie!! Here is a link to her video if you missed it: https://youtu.be/N2o9zTc54Js
See the full list of materials used at the bottom of this post.
Here are the measurements for my card:
Brown Cardstock – 6 ⅜” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 2 ⅛”
Green Cardstock with Gold Polka Dots – 8” x 5 ¼”, score and fold at 4”
Tan Pattern Cardstock – 3 x 3” (before die cutting)
Woodgrain Cardstock – 3 ½ x 3 ½” (before die cutting)
Botanical Cardstock – 2” x 5 ⅜”
Botanical Cardstock – ½” x 5 ¼”
Envelope measurements:
Light Brown Cardstock – 8 1/8 x 8 1/8”
Punched and scored with the We R Memory Keepers Punch Board
How I Assembled the Masculine Birthday Card:
So, after cutting out each of the paper pieces I used a square die and my Cuttlebug machine to die cut the light 3 x 3″ squares and the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2″ squares. I then used distress ink to smudge the edges and folds of each piece.
I then pulled out my “it’s Your Birthday” stamp and stamped with VersaMark watermark stamp pad to emboss the birthday sentiment. I then sprinkled with Inkadinkado embossing powder in Black Metallic and heat set it.
I then used the leaf stamp to emboss with Inkadinkado’s Copper embossing powder.
The rest was just attaching all the pieces together. I used my Pink Scotch ATG gun to adhere each piece and some X-Press It foam mounting tape to adhere the It’s Your Birthday 3 x 3″ square to the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2″ wood grain cardstock for some dimension, kind of a 3D look.
That’s it! Very easy and a fun little project for a Sunday afternoon.
